Meet Jesse Coomer
“You are worth working on. No one is perfect, but we are all worth the effort to grow, improve, and develop ourselves.”
Jesse Coomer is an author, professional breathworker, cold training expert, certified Wim Hof Method instructor, NSAM personal trainer and a Professor of English at Vincennes University, Indiana.
But for most of his life he was a mess of anxiety and stress. He suffered from what he has dubbed “The Modern Human Condition,” a condition that he suspects that you are trying to deal with too.
In 2009, he began a life transformation mission that led him to discover how our physiology and psychology often conflict with the modern world. In 2014, he became passionate about breath training as a method to combat his anxiety. Since then, he has trained in several breathwork techniques, including the Wim Hof Method, certified as a personal trainer, become a leading author in the subject of cold exposure training, and a voice of practicality in the world of breathwork and cold exposure on his YouTube Channel, Midwestern Method.
He now leads workshops, lectures, and training sessions around the USA while training athletes, military, and people from every walk of life.
Midwestern Method: A Philosophy of Training
My goal (and I assume your goal too) is to learn to interact with my body and mind in a way that produces the best life possible. I’m not concerned with being an immortal yogi or proving anything to anyone. I just want to be able to sleep at night. I just want to get the most out of my workouts. I just want to feel confident and secure. Basically, I want to equip myself with enough knowledge about how my mind and body work so that I can properly use them. After all, I know of no other way to live life than with my mind and body.
The Midwestern Method is a way of looking at training modalities that focuses on practical application. No dogma, no belief system, no hero-worship for a leader. One can apply the Midwestern Method to anything. Just break down the functional aspects of the practice, simplify it into something that can be understood easily, and apply it to your life.
When I apply the Midwestern Method to any kind of practice, I’m simply trying to separate the useful from the fluff. This is what to expect when you train with me.
